without being obliged to give an explanation. All claims for
recompensation against the Lancaster ICT resulting from
the removal of inputs are excluded. Each customer is under
obligation not to use the service and the services on
lancaster-ict.com abusively, in particular:
- not to up-load copyrighted contents, other material or
software unless the user holds himself the respective rights
or the owner(s) of the respective rights have given their
prior consent to the use of this material or software by the
user
- not to up-load files which contain viruses or may damage

of the Lancaster ICT, of their partners or of the other
users
- not to use the technological infrastructure of the

- not to use the DB in order to hurt, to threaten, to molest,
to defame others or to violate the rights (including
personality rights) of others
- not to use the addresses registered in the company DB in
order to distribute advertising e-mails
If a user registered himself or his company in the company
DB by entering his e-mail address and password, he is
himself responsible for their safe-keeping and use. The
Lancaster ICT is not responsible for damages which
result from abuse or loss of e-mail addresses or
passwords.
Each user commits himself to exempt the Lancaster ICT
from any liability and from all obligations, expenditures and
claims which result from damages related to inputs from the
customer. If the exemption does not take place or not duly,
the Lancaster ICT reserves itself the right to have
recourse to the customer.
6. Data Security
The Lancaster ICT undertakes the necessary technical
precautions in order to ensure safe transmission and
storage of the data. The Lancaster ICT commits itself to
protect the privacy of the users and to treat the data in
accordance with the provisions of the Federal Data
Protection Law. The Lancaster ICT reserves itself the
right to distribute all information in aggregated form or to
hand it over to third parties in this form (for example as
statistical analysis or report) in order to establish industry
overviews. In this context, the necessary precautions are
taken in order to ensure that an identification of individuals
or private companies is not possible.
The information concerning registered companies can be
edited exclusively by the respective companies. The
Lancaster ICT reserves itself merely the right to delete
entries with obviously untrue data and to reset passwords
on the explicit demand of the respective users.
The Lancaster ICT assumes no liability for the privacy
and security policies of the websites which are linked with
lancaster-ict.com.
7. Data Publication
By registering in the company DB of lancaster-ict.com the user
authorizes the Lancaster ICT to publish his company's
key figures, which he entered in the company DB, in its
publications on the IT and e-business sector of the Swiss
economy and to use them for the establishment of rankings
and other surveys. The Lancaster ICT declines any
liability for the publication of incomplete, non-up-to-date or
incorrect data.
8. General Provisions, Applicable Law, Place of Jurisdiction
If parts of these regulations are ineffective or become so,
this does not affect the effectiveness of the remaining
provisions. Swiss law is exclusively applicable. In case of
possible disputes between the Lancaster ICT and users
the seat of the Lancaster ICT is the exclusive place of
jurisdiction.
